Parents & Teachers > Ask A Teacher > About Kathryn Sullivan

Kathryn Sullivan teaches ballet and pointe classes at Steps and Broadway Dance Center in New York City. She is also on faculty at the Ballet Hispanico School, and at CAP 21 - New York University's musical theater department.

Kathryn studied ballet on scholarship at the Harkness Ballet, Boston Ballet and Robert Joffrey School. She danced professionally with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, Boston Ballet, Les Ballets de Nancy, and Connecticut Ballet. Her previous teaching has included the Feld School, La Guardia High School of Performing Arts, New Jersey Ballet, and the New York City Ballet Education Department.

Her choreography is frequently presented in New York and her teaching has been the subject of numerous articles in Dance Spirit and Dancer magazines. Kathy often guest teaches and judges at many national dance conventions.

Ms. Sullivan has collaborated with pianist Flora Arbitman on two CDs of Ballet Music for ballet class produced by Roper Records. Kathryn's third CD with Nick Levinovsky will be released this summer.
