Some dancers love ballet right from the very first plié. As a four year old at a little school in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Erica Cornejo was one of them. Today she is a Principal Dancer at the Boston Ballet and an internationally renowned ballerina, commanding a repertoire that ranges from Petipa to Graham to Bournonville to Taylor to Balanchine to Tharp to Nissinen to Wheeldon.

When she was three, Courtney Connor was spotted pointing her feet so prettily that a neighbor persuaded her parents that the world of ballet should not be deprived of such obvious talent. Today, she's a member of the Cincinnati Ballet.

Eliza Minden, Head of Design, and Jeanne Share,
International Sales Manager, started the year with
a trip to Paris. They met with ballet teachers, officials
from the Ministry of Culture, and dancers at the Paris
Opera Ballet. They also visited the Bolshoi dancers
who were performing at the magnificent Opera Garnier.
The Bolshoi discovered Gaynor Minden pointe shoes
just recently but already several dancers have started
to wear them, and the Director of the Bolshoi Academy,
Mme. Marina Leonova, recommends them for her
students. The company presented its splendid new
production of Le Corsaire in which Gaynor Minden
Artist Ekaterina Shipulina danced the demanding role
of Gulnare gloriously.
