Description (provided by Empire Dance Shop): Empire Dance is a full-service dance shop, with a history of serving and supporting dance and the performing arts since 1950. We cannot emphasize strongly enough how important it is that pointe shoes fit correctly. Improperly fitted pointe shoes are not just painful, they can actually damage the feet.

We urge all our customers to take the time to be properly fitted by a trained pointe shoe fitter, one who has experience with Gaynor Minden’s unique construction and fitting requirements. We offer 2,913 different combinations of length, width, box, shank, vamp and heel. There is no reason to accept anything less than a perfect fit.
